The Development Team’s approach has been led by Wadworth’s ambition to create a new high-quality brewery which will reflect its ongoing commitment as well as its role and importance within Devizes. As such, Wadworth is seeking a modern architectural approach to the regeneration of the former Selectabook site. This includes a high-quality design and aesthetic appearance which embraces modern and sustainable approaches to brewing, including measures to reduce the carbon footprint of the new brewery.
The brewery will incorporate suitable odour filtration and noise mitigation through the redesign of the former Selectabook building and use of modern brew equipment. This will ensure the amenity of surrounding residential properties is respected and preserved. We will also seek to ensure the brewery will respect the prevailing traffic conditions through adequate parking and restricted hours of heavy-goods vehicle (HGV) deliveries.
Indicative Development Proposals
The proposals below demonstrate Wadworth’s current redevelopment intentions to the former Selectabook site. This includes:

Alterations to the roof to accommodate rooflights, energy efficient features and new signage.
A comprehensive staff parking scheme, including the incorporation of EV charging points and secure cycle parking facilities.
The erection of external silos to accommodate the brewing operation, confined to the northern side of the existing building.
